What is iYk?

Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth & taste.........................Actually, I am just the English dude of the iYk Originals triumvirate, and I am definitely not rich. Have been in the sports and entertainment business for a long enough time that I am now a consultant, which is what you become when you have done something long enough that people think your opinion actually holds some weight!

Anyway, so a few months ago, I was browsing Twitter and saw some very cool T shirt designs about the team I support that really spoke to me, and I started to think I would love to do that, as I have always been interested in fashion and always had a slightly weird sense of humour that I would like to combine.

That's when the idea for a T shirt brand emerged that would target specific niche's related to what I am passionate about. I wrote down my ideas and created a business plan so it made some sense and showed to my business partner, who is an American.

He loved the idea and so here we are.

He is a Minnesota Vikings Fan, I am an Everton fan so we decided that they would be the 1st set of designs that we would work on as these are the ones we know most about.

All well and good, but what happens when you are both about as artistically talented as 2 particularly untalented philistines?

You look for someone who can design shit. After thinking for all of a couple of minutes, the American remembered that our Venezuelan buddy who designed our company logo, might be interested to come in with us.

Turns out he had actually designed a bunch of T shirts for his bar and his biking buddies, previously and always wanted to do a TShirt brand too and was all in.

We are all very different but we are all pretty decent blokes who have various passions, such as watches, bikes, football, fishing, NFL, pop culture, graffiti art, old school sports brands, NBA, Athletics and Boxing and a bunch more that I cant remember as I write this.

Why you called iYK Originals? Well 1st off our designs are original, so that explains that. If you are an old fogey and don't know where he iYk comes from its from "if you know, you know" - which alludes to the fact that our designs will only be understood by people in the know.

So that's our back story - pretty uneventful, as it goes, but it's ours and we own it

So how come your Shirts are quite pricey???..... we hear you cry.

Well, its kind of simple, we have decided to make sure that the quality of our shirts are the best out there and that you get a shirt that lasts, and the printing doesn't come off after a few washes. We only use the finest sustainably sourced cottons that are over 250 grams per square meter (most shirts on the market are 160-180gsm) and we only use durable printing methods like direct to garment and screen printing, as well as paying attention to little details so that anyone that buys one feels like they have bought something special and not just a run of the mill aliexpress knockoff.

Another reason why we are pricey is that we have to split anything we make, 3 ways
