Why IYK is what it is?

So, the English Dude and the American dude 1st decided to start this brand in early April '25, and by the end of the month, our Venezuelan pal was on board to provide us his artistic flair.

We all loved the idea of creating something only for people who just "got it" and who really did understand the ethos of IYK .

The 1st designs that he came up with were "graphic design" in style, but if the truth be told, similar to what already existed in the market - as that is what we thought we wanted.

Now, Mr Venezuela is a competent Graphic Designer but not by any means is it his forte, and so not surprisingly, getting designs out of him was like getting blood from a stone. He was struggling to really get into it as whilst he loved what we were all doing , he found it hard to get inspiration to come up with something.

We wondered if we were ever going to get off the ground, and even if we did, would anyone buy our designs?

That all changed when we met up for him to show us some of his new designs which were a little underwhelming, if I was to be brutally honest. As i was giving him my input on what would work for those that were ITK he started to show me some of the art he creates ......... wow.

It was a total Moment of Perfect Clarity - why the hell was he doing graphic designs when he is one of the most talented artists I had ever seen? Within a few minutes we had decided that we were gonna change the way we did things and he would use his own inimitable artistic style for our brand.

The American finally arrived at the meeting (late as usual) and totally agreed with our thoughts ... so here we are.

Our designs are from the unique mind of our Venezuelan Grand Master with subject input from the other much less talented duo and everything you see is a 100% original design from a Pure Artist.

If you buy an IYK Original you are buying a work of ART & not just a Tshirt.

They are worthy of being hung on a wall - in fact we may even frame the designs for sale, who knows? Though that does open us up for some thieving bastard to nick our design and get shirts made up in China, so maybe not.
